Transparent Background Photoshop Tutorials

How to make a background transparent in Photoshop? Removing white backgrounds from bitmaps? Creating transparent bitmaps or transparent background? How do I save an image without the white background? How do I make the background of my image in Photoshop transparent? How do I get a transparent/empty background in Photoshop? Here are the basic help tips for similar questions:

When creating a new button, set the background option to transparent. (Default is set to background color.)
When saving, either save the button as PSD or PNG or Gif to keep the transparent settings. Don't save as a JPEG.  Jpeg doesn't support transparency.

Saving as a PNG file:
For best results you'll want to save your images as PNGs. PNG stands for Portable Network Graphics. It uses lossless compression so you have the best quality image and still a manageable size to upload.

1. Go to "File > Save as"

2. Select PNG from the format dropdown

3. Click "Save"
You'll get the PNG options window. Leave the default setting of "None" and click "OK."
